New Recruits!

Pretty exciting news… Today we added two more faces to the ATAO team. You may recall that Max and R2 will be leaving the race team for bigger and betterment pursuits- Max will join Sarah to start her kennel Dream Catcher Sled Dogs. R2 is retiring from racing because of some health concerns, but he’s sticking around at ATAO and becoming a poster child for fun runs and lots of inside cuddle time!

To add back to our roster of race dogs, though, we brought home two dogs from Martin Buser’s Happy Trails Kennel, where Cassidy, Sundance, and the Star Wars pups hail from!

Our new friends are going to be a great fit. They are sweet, small, and strong, like the majority of the team.

Aurora is a little shy but ready to drop everything and play. She was verrrrry curious about the yard, so it was hard to get her attention for a picture! So far Aurora’s main favorite activity is sniffing stuff. I’m excited to get to know her better.

Belle reminds me a lot of one of Martin’s old dog Blondie… in fact, so much so I accidentally wrote Blondie instead of Belle just now!

Belle is supposed to be an awesome little leader. Both girls lead, bhut Martin and his handlers sing the praises of Belle especially. When I met her today, she jumped up and gave me a giant, enthusiastic hug. I am SO stoked to get to work this good girl into a strong front end of the team for next year’s races and on.

Bella!!!

Thank you so much to Martin and Kathy for being such a major part of building ATAO!

We will be getting profiles up for these awesome athletes very soon- and you’ll be able to become their Buddies by next week!

If you want to Buddy up with Aurora or Belle, you can join us on Patreon and send us a note about which one you want to Buddy up with!

Even more adventures await us ahead! Thanks as always for following along!

Onward!

So nice to hear you’ve gotten two new dogs, though we’re sorry to hear Max will no longer be with you. On the other hand, I’m sure R2 will enjoy lolling around and being “retired.” I sure wish I could have been retired at his (Her? I forget) age.

We’re sorry to have missed you, Will. I called and left a message at OAJ; we wanted to take you to lunch while you were down 🙁

Hi John! It’s my fault, I was so busy I never had the chance to get back to you! I should be back in town a couple more times this summer– I’ll get in touch with you then!
